Special Events
Prince Complex serves a myriad of functions for
the community including serving as a gathering place for special
events and programs including Cocaine anonymous, HIV/AIDS awareness’
meetings, etc. In addition to some of these regular community gatherings,
we also host several important annual events. These events are
very important to the community as evidenced by the large turnout
each year of more than 3,000 residents:
Boxing
Tournament – The community is invited to watch boxing
matches between some of the area’s premier amateur boxers.
The event is always well attended by enthusiastic spectators from
the surrounding community to cheer on their community favorites.
Basketball
Tournament – Each Labor Day the community is invited
to participate in our annual tournament. They form teams and compete
in a fun atmosphere for trophies, awards, and prizes.
Thanksgiving
Turkey Give-A-Way – Each year Prince Complex gives
away between 300 to 400 turkeys to the community for the Thanksgiving
holiday. The turkeys are given to persons over the age of 55.

Annual Health & Recreation Fair
– Our Annual Health and Recreation Fair is fun for the whole
family. The fair is free and normally last two hours during which
time music and entertainment, food, and give-a-ways are awarded.
But the main focus of the fair is the health and welfare of the
community participants. The fair features free services to all who
attend including sports physicals, child immunization, foot screenings,
vision and hearing screenings, dental screenings, and blood pressure
and cholesterol checks.
