Afterschool Tutors Needed!

Do you love working with kids and have a gift for teaching?

If the answer is yes then you are exactly who we are looking for.

The Prince Complex is seeking tutors to work with our children who are a part of our Afterschool Program. Ideal candidates will be individuals 18+ years old with high proficiency in English, Math, or Science and have strong verbal and written skills. Preference given to those individuals with tutoring experience. A minimum of 3 hours a day is required at least 3 times a week. The Afterschool Progrm is held from 3:00 - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday. Summer Camp Counselors Needed!

We are looking for SENSITIVE, ENTHUSIASTIC and FUN-LOVING PEOPLE to join our team.

Our annual 12-weeks summer camp begins on June 2nd and ends on August 22nd. The camp will accept 50 children between the ages of 5 – 14 years of age. Our Camp Counselors are the driving force behind the success of the Prince Complex Summer Enrichment Camp. We strive to create a climate of learning and fun which will further the development of each camper socially, physically and creatively. We seek to help each child adjust easily to his/her group and strengthen values of teamwork, cooperation and sportsmanship. In everything we do, we encourage a positive self-image for each child, while teaching skills in a variety of physical and creative activities. Camp Counselors are encouraged to add their special skills and innovations to camp activities. The campers engage in activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, theatre arts, writing, sports, and field trips. This year the children will be visiting many wonderful sites in and aound Houston in an effort to learn and experience the world around them.

Candidate Requirements

Ideal candidate will be mature (20+ years of age), and have experience working with children. Candidate should have their own car with valid proof of insurance. Our children are from diverse populations and require lots of love. Our Camp Counselors work daily with our children to help with daily crafts/activities, play sports and accompany on field trips. Experience working with kids in the Inner-City is a plus. Individuals with talents and skills in the following areas are especially needed: Arts & Crafts, Sports, Dance, Theatre Arts, Gardening, Cooking, Scrapbooking, and Creative Writing.

• Employment Requirements for our many positions vary based upon experience, education and certifications held*.
• The twelve-week camp season officially begins on Monday, June 2, 2008.
• Camp Counselors work from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Camp will not be in session on July 4th.
• A series of pre-season workshops and training sessions will be held in the evenings in the weeks before camp begins and are required for all Camp Counselors.
• Salary payments will be made 6 times during the summer camp.
  Camp Counselors will be paid only for time worked.
• Prince Complex expects its Camp Counselors to be Sensitive, Enthusiastic and Encouraging with an excellent on time and attendance record.

*if candidate has CPR and First Aid training and is a strong swimmer we will provide extra compensation.
