On Friday, October 24, 2008 we will host our 3rd Annual KnockOut Affair at the Westin Galleria Ballroom (5060 W. Alabama, Houston, TX) from 6:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

This year our honorees include: Dr. Charleta Guillory, Cheryl "Salt" James, Pastor Rudy and Juanita Rasmus, and Hilton Koch.

• Honorary Chairs are Yolanda Adams, Lucinda Loya, and Javier Loya. Ms. Adams will also serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.
• Tomorrow's Champions: Students named as our "Tomorrow's Champions" will each recieve $1000 scholarships - This year's champions are Jourdant Grant and Myriah Keyer
• Committee Chair: Merele Yarborough, Committee Co-Chair: Lolita Robles-Eusibio

3rd Annual Community Health Day will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The event will be held at Lyon's Health Center; 5602 Lyons Ave., Houston, TX 77020. Free screenings will be offered for blood pressure, diabetes, mammograms, cholesterol, dental care, vision, and so much more... In addition, you can participate in worshops and sign up for the Gold Card, S-CHIP, and Medicaid. Fun activities and healthy snacks will also be available for kids!
